ANTIQUE 10K YELLOW GOLD .80 CT FACETED PEAR RED STONE & 6 PT DIAMOND STICKPIN

Description

This is an antique, red stone and genuine diamond stickpin that is 10K solid yellow gold (marked). All of the metal is solid 10K gold, including the stick. The top features a pear-shaped, faceted red stone that tests as a ruby on the Presidium Gem Tester.   However, it does not have inclusions that you usually see in a genuine ruby, so it may be a synthetic ruby, which was common for the time priod.   The red stone is 9.3 by 4.9 millimeters, which is approximately .80 carat.  Beneath it is a 6-point accent diamond. The top is a little more than 1/2 inch high by almost 1/4
inch wide, and the entire stickpin is 2 3/8 inches long.  This lovely stickpin weighs 1.2 grams and is in excellent condition.
