Antique German Diptych Sundial made by Negelein in Nuremberg Germany c.1830.The Rear of the hinged upper element  shows the latitudes of many European and American cities.The front has openings where the string gnomen can be adjusted between latitudes 30 --56.The paper printed dials are intact however show wear and staining.The wire catch on the front of the instrument is missing. The compass functions and the glass compass cover is original and intact.The lower dial has 4 ink marks Where a former owner marked N.S.E W.
