Description
This listing is for mounted CrystaLaser 532nm SLM Laser Optics Crystals Assembly manufactured by VLOC company consisting of neodym vanadate slab,etalon,
Cristal Laser KTP second harmonic crystal and system of HR mirror and output coupler deposited onto Nd and KTP
crystal
sides. In more details this is so-called optically contacted hybrid assembly, which consists of
Optically Contacted
Neodym Vanadate Nd:YVO4 (3x3x0.5mm size; 2,75% Nd+++) laser crystal with laser cavity mirror (HR1064, HR532, AR808) deposited from one side, the optically contacted Second Harmonic Green KTP Non-linear Optical Crystal (5x5x2mm size)
with deposited optical coupler (HR808, HR1064, AR532)
from the other side, and optically contacted etalon in between. The etalon also plays role of heat spreader. The KTP crystal was manufactured by Cristal Laser SA (France) by flux growth technique
with grey reduction and cut to generate the second harmonic of YAG:Nd 1064nm main lasing line
(532nm) (Theta = 90deg, Phi = 23,5deg) and optimized to operate at +22...+28C. The whole assembly is rated 50mW+ of SLM green line suitable for holography applications.
Unlike glue contacted crystals where the glue is burning under intense irradiation power,
Optically Contacted crystals are used for higher power lasers
. In the multimode lasing regime the crystal assembly is capable 0.5W+ of power for continuous green 532nm line depending on cooling efficiency. The output power of green light for this crystal assembly depends on efficiency of cooling and pumping power for both SLM and multimode.
One way to increase the lasing power (vs standard) is to use a thin Indium foil with small pinhole (about 1mm in diameter) as the heat conductor and mount the vanadate crystal to the metal heat spreader from both sides: pumping side and etalon side (the heat spreader from KTP side is optional).
The other way
to increase the maximum output power of crystal stack is to mount transparent heat spreader in a way that it should be attached in between the bigger heat spreaders (Cu, Cu:W or some optically transparent heat conductive substrate like sapphire, GaN,
garnets, optical ceramics
etc.).
