This fine 150' stone lighthouse is located Loggerhead Key offshore in the Atlantic Ocean off the Florida Keys. It was built in 1852 and the tower not open to the public. The site is now part of the Dry Tortugas National Park and must be reached by boat. Nearby is the huge brick Fort Jefferson on Garden Key, that  also has a light. Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs on the island.
