    The company was incorporated in Virginia.
    The Sweets Company of America, Inc. Relocated to Hoboken in 1938 in buildings that occupied the entire block from 15th to 16th Streets, Willow to Park Avenue; 1515 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. No longer in operation in Hoboken probably by 1966 when company opened plant near Chicago; changed name to Tootsie Roll Industries, Inc. in 1966. (Building at northeast corner of Willow Avenue and Fifteenth Streets were leased by Macy's for its Parade Studio.)..
