A set of antique chains and attachments, dating from the Georgian era to the Victorian.
All except one dog clip are locked/soldered shut together so it has to go as a single piece, I think it's lovely just like this and full of intrigue and history.
The main piece is a wonderfully heavy, solid 18 carat gold chain - deep, rich yellow curb links, and gently graduating from end to end. What's more, each link is stamped '18' for solid 18 carat gold. It's terminated by an 18 carat gold ring clip (shut), a Georgian period 15 carat rose gold split ring (shut) and two solid 9 carat gold dog clips (one shut, the other working). So you can clip the assembly to a pendant, chain or bracelet and use the other end as solid rings.
It all feels very high quality, well made throughout, weighty and with excellent heft and very tactile.
It weighs 11.6 grams of solid 18, 15 and 9 carat gold and measures 5" long overall.
It's in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with the lightest wear, but no loss or damage.
