That's why Toca djembes use only certified, plantation grown mahogany wood that is treated and dried in buildings powered by solar technology.
They are hand carved from one piece of environmentally-friendly plantation grown Mahogany wood, and the kiln dried shells have up to 20 coats of teak oil that protects and preserves the wood.
