This is a gorgeous Victorian mesh purse or bag, it is crafted from solid 21k yellow gold with a dark gold patina which is retained throughout the years. The screw top cork is initialed AG with a fancy open design around the round end of the cork, the top of the mesh boast an open and close hinged fence like design and a small length of sturdy chain as the handle. In the early 1800s travelers carried money for their trips on chains around their necks worn inside their clothing. This gorgeous antique piece is in great condition and will make a great addition to your collection!
