Shrouded in heat-dissipating fins, this stunning vintage transmitting tube -- manufactured by General Electric in the early 1950's -- looks like nothing so much as a bionic pumpkin. The tube is in excellent condition throughout, with an undamaged glass envelope, and 4 enormous pins protruding from the top. Both sets of pins (long and short) test good for continuity. Handles are original, and they're in good shape, with some minor pitting on their chromed surfaces, but nothing significant.
Sold for historical purposes only, with no assurances stated or implied that it's still electrically viable.
Approximately 11" high and 11" in diameter (including the handles). Shipping weight, properly packed, will be approximately 45 lb.
That's about it. I'll pack everything carefully and make sure it arrives safely. Auction participants with no prior feedback should contact me before placing a bid.
