    Cover franked with 50 cent flag stamp and a 6 cent Wright Brothers stamp # C-45.
    The ship cover is one of a group of honoring WW II Liberty Ships
    named for famous Americans.
    SS Wilber Wright: this 441' Liberty Ship was built by Permanente Metals Corp.
    in Richmond, CA. and delivered on December 4, 1943. The proud new ship
    transported vital supplies overseas to US an Allied Forces during WW II.
    Records show that the vessel's hull was recycled for scrap metal in 1966.
    Wilber Wright was a famous 1900s era self-taught bicycle engineer who with his
    brother developed the mechanical controls necessary to fly fixed-wing aircraft.
