"Edney" Swing Hygrometer

Description

Boxed "Edney" swing Hygrometer. Made by the Hughes-Owen Co Ltd, Ottawa, Canada. Used to measure relative humidity (RH) when recording Fire Weather Index (FWI) readings. Glass vial used to wet fabric wick at end of  upper thermometer has broken top (pic). Both glass mercury thermometers intact.  Box in very good condition. Date of manufacture unknown.
Buyer responsible to arrange and pay shipping for hazardous goods (mercury). Check pictures as that is what you are buying. Selling as is.
Contact seller for shipping charges as ebay calculations wrong. Will ship domestic, US or international. Ebay shippings fees not accurate if using global shipping function from Canada.
NOTE; Seller will make every effort to pack item securely. However past experience has resulted in broken glass in shipment. If glass arrives broken (see below re reshipping) seller will compensate buyer a maximum of ca to replace glass upon proof of glass damaged in shipping. If this is not acceptable do not bid as item is sold with no refund.
